Africans slaves does the work for the white people, they do things for them such as picking cotton, planting plants, some African women are even taken to take care of the white people's babies for them. African slaves worked their lives day and night everyday without rest, African slaves weren't aloud to take a break because if they do they would get beaten. The Africans slaves made a song about their everyday life. about how they worked so hard just to not get beaten by their owners.

This is an example of African slaves singing about their lives as a slaves. These songs were made by the slaves in order to get entertained and alerted.

Me and my group was really slow but, we were still successful and from what I've learned was you don't need to be fast in cooking, because it only makes things worse and it causes accidents. So that my groups Personal safety will be affected by rushing things and not taking it carefully. Not only that we were successful we also finished everything in time by taking it carefully. Not only that but yesterday we made a mistake by using the red knife to peal the carrots and that affects our food safety, that happened because we were trying to rush because we were falling behind.

For me personally i think we need to prepare before we cook, like prepare everything in time also put everything back in time. Me and my group need to be more organised before we cook, So in order to be more organised we need to assign roles to each other so we do it safer, faster and better just so we finish in time.

½ c flour
1t baking powder
Pinch salt
½ c rolled oats
1 egg
1 ½ c milk
1T melted butter
Oil to spray
Maple syrup
Fruit  to serve
Or
Sugar and lemon juice

  • Sift flour, bp and salt together then add rolled oats.
  • Beat egg and ½ cup of milk together.
  • Pour into the well and whisk to a smooth batter
  • Add remaining milk  and melted butter and whisk until well mixed.
  • Spray a non stick frying pan with oil
  • Using a jug pour batter into frying pan, when it starts to bubble flip over.

Mistakes and outcomes.

When cooking pancakes yesterday we made some few mistakes such as spilling the pastry all over the place in all the chopping boards, i spilled it because i was spinning the mixer too fast then my hand slipped, so that the mixer went swoosh then splattered pastry everywhere.

What I've learnt.

From my experience from yesterday, I've learnt that i don't have to spin the mixer too fast just to mix the pastry.
